Happy Father’s Day 2022

It’s the third Sunday of June! And it’s Father’s Day 2022!
Every Father’s Day, Lady Yeya and I like to pick out ‘comic-themed’ gifts for Kenz to mark the occasion. Previous years included newly-released Funko Pops, personalised keep-sake books, and superhero wall memorabilia. But with every inch of wall space in the “man pod,” aka office, covered with comic books, graphic novels or Pops, I went for an edible gift. To round off a celebratory BBQ on the Big Green Egg, I ordered one dozen comic-themed Father’s Day cupcakes from a local baker. It was a great weekend with good food, good vibes, and good fun.
Back in California, my father celebrated in style with new wheels fresh off the car dealership. Due to supply chain issues, his new Toyota Rav-4 Hybrid was not due to arrive until the end of the year. It just so happens that the model he wanted came in stock after a last minute cancellation. Just in time for Father’s Day weekend, he proudly showed off his new shiny car on FaceTime today. We couldn’t be more happy for him. He truly deserves it!
