Alice In Wonderland at Marylebone Theatre

Down the rabbit hole for a magical hour seeing Alice in Wonderland at Marylebone Theatre. Just don’t be late for a very important date!

It’s that time of the year again – Kids Week! If you are lucky to snag tickets, then you’re in for an amazing time seeing some popular West End musicals. With four tickets in hand, I invited a mom friend and her daughter to join us for a magical hour to see Alice in Wonderland at Marylebone Theatre.

The intimate theatre transformed into a kaleidoscope of colours with lots of whimsical details such as giant mushrooms, swirling playing cards, and glowing keyholes. The acting was brilliant, especially the ever-curious Alice in her iconic blue and white dress.

It’s Tea Time!

On a sunny afternoon, Alice spots a White Rabbit wearing a waistcoat and carrying a pocket watch. Intrigued, she follows him and falls down a rabbit hole into Wonderland, a magical and nonsensical world where the rules of logic don’t seem to apply. Throughout her journey, Alice navigates strange transformations, bizarre games of croquet with flamingos, and surreal riddles.

As Alice searches for the rabbit, she meets a series of peculiar characters:

  • The Cheshire Cat, who appears and disappears at will, offering cryptic advice
  • The Mad Hatter and March Hare, who invite her to a never-ending tea party
  • The Caterpillar, who gives her puzzling guidance about growing and shrinking
  • The quarrelsome Tweedledee and Tweedledum
  • The Queen of Hearts, a temperamental ruler with a fondness for shouting “Off with their heads!”

Eventually, she finds herself in the middle of the Queen’s chaotic trial—only for the scene to dissolve as Alice wakes up back on the riverbank. It was all a dream-like adventure, but one she’ll never forget.

Alice in Wonderland will be playing at Marylebone Theatre until 31st August! Don’t be late for a very important date!

Strolling through Regents Park

After the matinee show, we took a stroll around the Boating Lake at Regents Park. One of the most beautiful parks in central London, Regents Park was heaving with people enjoying the glorious summer weather. A stop at Hanover Playground and then to Queen Mary’s Garden to smell the gorgeous roses. Bellies hungry from all the excitement, we went to Emilia’s Crafted Pasta for an early dinner and went home happy as a clam.
