A Lovely Stay at The Annabelle Hotel, Paphos

A perfect family holiday, The Annabelle Hotel has multiple swimming pools and restaurants with stunning views over the Mediterranean Sea.

We had a few shortlisted hotels in Paphos including The Annabelle, The Almrya and The Elysium. Ultimately we decided on The Annabelle Hotel as you cannot beat the location. It’s only a stone’s throw away from Paphos Harbour and Paphos Archeological Park. Situated on the coastal path, this sprawling six-acre, multi-tier hotel has 244 rooms with the most amazing coastal views.

The Annabelle Hotel: Classy & Elegant

The Annabelle has everything you need for a relaxing family holiday.  Refined and classy, The Annabelle Hotel exudes old-school elegance with its neutral decor, blending Mediterranean blues with soft-honey hues. Every room has a sea view terrace or balcony which is essential for when Lady Yeya goes to bed early. The beautiful marble-clad lobby has a bar and plenty of seating including a few outdoor snugs to enjoy the view.

Annabelle Hotel, Paphos Cyprus

In addition to the main pool, there’s an indoor rooftop pool, a lagoon-style pool with a cave, and a free-form pool with a jacuzzi. A swim up bar is located near the cave and gets fairly busy during happy hour. Plenty of plush sun loungers are found throughout the resort: poolside, terrace-side, and even beach-side. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. A beautiful wellness spa is located on the top floor where Kenz indulged in two-hour treatment. Needless to say, he came back to the pool looking refreshed and relaxed.

The breakfast buffet was served on the terrace of the Fontana restaurant. There were classic hot and cold breakfast items, as well as Cypriot delicacies such as hiromeri (smoked ham marinated in red wine); anari, a mild whey cheese; and galaktoboureko (custard pie). We had a delightful meal at the rooftop restaurant Ouranos. It is on par with London prices, but well-worth it for a lovely dining experience with live music. There is also the seafront taverna Mediterraneo which serves classic Italian dishes.

Access to The Almyra: Cool & Contemporary

Next door, its sister hotel The Almyra is cool, sleek, and contemporary.  As a guest of The Annabelle, you also have access to all the amenities at The Almyra, including seven restaurants and three additional pools including a shaded family pool. The best part, everything can be billed directly to your room.

Children and families are well-catered for at The Almyra with a Baby Go service where you can pre-order items online such as potty, nappies, food pouches, etc. The Montessori-inspired Kids Club and the children’s playground is located in a shady area at The Almyra. Parents and adults can seek refuge at the adults-only area tucked away at the far end of the resort next to the outstanding Almyra Spa. We indulged in a couples massage and spent a blissful day at the adults-only area. Meanwhile, Lady Yeya was happy as a clam playing with her little friends at the Kids Club. We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Ouzeri, the seafront taverna with its cute blue chairs on our last evening in Paphos.

Overall, an absolutely perfect stay at The Annabelle and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paphos.
