May the Force Be with You: Happy 7th Birthday 

Hip hip hooray, you are now seven! Happy 7th Birthday! May the force be with you, sweet child of mine!

Our sweet daughter turns seven! It feels like yesterday when she was born in the middle of the night. I know I say this every year, but where does time go? 

DogMan: A Cinema Movie Party

Lady Yeya’s birthday fell over half-term break. To celebrate, she invited four friends to join her to see DogMan at Vue, followed by Pizza Express. KS1 kids are all mad about DogMan, a popular comic book series by Dav Pilkey. 

Half-dog and half-human “Dog Man” as a result of an operation fusing a police dog and his human police officer. It is all about this crime fighting superhero Dogman. Even with heavy weight actors such as Ricky Gervais, Pete Davidson, and Isla Fisher lending their voices, the movie was not my favourite. But the kids all enjoyed the movie, watching it from their full reclining seats, popcorn, and Cawston juice. Then it was on to Pizza Express where kids eat free with every adult meal! 

Star Wars Theme Birthday

Every birthday, we pick out a theme for Lady Yeya’s birthday.  This year’s theme is Star Wars. Much to her dad’s delight, Lady Yeya is a huge fan of Star Wars. She watched all the movies over Christmas break, alongside Clone Wars, Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Bad Batch, and Skeleton Crew. With Rey and Ahsoka as her favourite characters, she can talk for hours about Star Wars. In fact, ask her any trivia questions about Star Wars. She even picked out an assortment of Star Wars t-shirts as party favours. 

All her friends and parents joined us for cake and a lightsaber party to mark her 7th birthday!
