MCM ComicCon London 2023

Comic lovers and cosplay reunite for MCM ComicCon London 2023 at the Excel Centre. 

Another year, another successful MCM ComicCon London 2023! Last year, we went as a family for the Saturday session which was sensory overload and exceptionally busy. But my comic-loving husband loved it. He enjoys the jovial and fun-loving atmosphere of all of his favourite superheroes under one roof at the Excel Centre. The bi-annual MCM ComicCon London takes place over the late May bank holiday weekend and again, in October before Halloween.  

With Lady Yeya’s school having a short day ahead of the May half-term break, Kenz organised a fun-filled afternoon of pop culture and superheroes. The Dad-Daughter duo was joined by her BFF and his Dad. Together, Lady Yeya and her BFF were dressed as Batman and Batgirl, all ready to fight the “baddies” in Gotham City. 

Friday is much more relaxed compared to Saturday’s main session. The kid’s zone known as the “Treehouse” was not set-up yet. In fact, Batman and Batgirl were amongst the youngest guests at Friday’s ComicCon session. Yes, there was a lot of swooning over as Batgirl and Batman took photos with their favourite superheroes: Mario & Luigi, Spiderman and SpiderGwen, Star Lord, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. 

It was a great way to kick off the half-term break. Batman and Batgirl had so much fun! They can’t wait to return in October.
