Family-Friendly Pelagos Suites Hotel & Spa, Lambi Beach
A relaxed week at family-friendly Pelagos Hotel & Spa where comfort meets sleek minimalist design right on Lambi Beach, Kos.
We had a wonderful week-long stay at Pelagos Suites Hotel & Spa on Lambi Beach near Kos Town. This family-friendly hotel is beautiful with colourful Bougainvilleas flowers cascading over white walls. The hotel has a minimalist and elegant aesthetic that feels upscale with ample lounge areas and water features. Yet, it never felt intimidating or overpretentious. As it was the peak summer holiday season, the there were lots of families from all corners of Europe. Pelagos also proudly hosted a big fat Greek American destination wedding. Minor operational adjustments were made to accommodate the happy couple as they say “I Do” at a sunset ceremony in front of the chapel. Opa!

Family Suites & Dining
The spacious family suite in the 800 building overlooking both pools. The suites were spacious, comfortably sleeping a family of four with a separate sliding door for privacy. The bathroom was thoughtfully funcational with a separate door to toilet and shower. It is also had double sinks and a bathtub, perfect for toddlers. The balcony and bali bed added extra space to lounge or play card games in the evenings. Like the rest of the hotel, the decor was minimalist with a neutral colour palette.
Whilst guests can dine once at the Greek Mediterreaneo and Italian Cacio e Pepe, the majority of meals are at the Island Restaurant. Initially, I had reservations with the limited dining options, but the buffet was actually good to our surprise. It’s perfect for families as it is casual and easy. Although the hotel was at near capacity, we never waited for a table. There were plenty of options at the buffet, catering for all dietary requirements from fresh Greek salads, fruit, cheese and the themed menu kept meals interesting. We dined at the Italian restaurant one evening and thought the food was on par with the Island Buffet.

Amenities & Kids Club
There are multiple pools around the hotel with the main lagoon-style pool in the middle. The tranquil adults-only pool has its own bar attached to the Greek Mediterraneo restaurant. The smaller “square” pool is around the corner from the main pool. There is also a splash zone and waterslides behind the main restaurant. Sunloungers are plentiful but there are guests who would wake up at dawn to claim coveted spots.
Inside the spa area where the gym and spa is another indoor pool which is bookable to ensure maximum relaxation. The gym is small but functional. Across a small road is Pelagos’ private beach area with sun loungers, changing facilities, showers, and beach bar. There is a walking path that runs parallel to the beach, making a nice scenic route for running and walking.

The energetic animation team works tirelessly at the Kids Club (opens 10-12 and 3-5) and throughout the day and evening to keep guests of all ages entertained. There is a daily kids disco and evening entertainment ranging from bingo, Disney dance, Best of MJ, and classic rock covers. Most evenings we would head to the beach to watch the sunset before playing a few rounds of Uno.
Overall a very relaxed week with quality family time of the three “S”: swim, sun, and sea. Pelagos Suites Hotel & Spa is a thoughtfully designed resort that caters to families without compromising on style.
