Summer BBQ Ideas
Summer BBQ season is upon us! And we can have a limited number of friends and family over for a small gathering in our private gardens starting from tomorrow albeit keeping sensible social distance measures.
Every year, we always look forward to hosting friends for a big summer BBQ on a beautiful summery London afternoon. The weather continues to look sunny this week, and I am putting together some themed summer BBQ ideas.
I’m not the grill master in my household. As such, I leave that task to Kenz but I do plan, organise, and prep the menu, and leave the grilling to Kenz with specific instruction. Personally for me, if you are going to BBQ, grill for a big crowd even if it is just for the family. You can always use your leftover grilled chicken for salads and a simple cold pasta salad. This is because, in my view at least, grilling is a bit of a production at least at our house. Somehow we amass endless dishes from marinating meats and veggies, special grilling equipment, then all the serving platters, dishes, and so forth. So for us, a summer BBQ for 4 people takes the same amount of work as grilling for 8 people.
To make the day more relaxed, I like to prep the night before and get the grill going when our friends arrive and kiddos are all settled in the garden with a cold drink in hand.
