Tulleys Pumpkin Farm

There’s no better way to kick off the Halloween festivities than a trip to Tulleys Pumpkin Farm for some family fun.

Autumn is upon us! We love autumn as it kicks off the holiday season starting with one of our favourite holidays: Halloween. Then there is also Guy Fawkes Night and Diwali, followed by Thanksgiving. The temperature may be dropping and the days are getting shorter, but there are many fun holidays to look forward to in the next few months.

Kenz has fond childhood memories of going to Dell’Osso Family Farm to pick out his Halloween pumpkins. So every year we take Lady Yeya to a pumpkin patch to experience the magic of Halloween. Having done Stanhill Farm and Hewitts Farm, this year we booked Tulleys Pumpkin Farm in Crawley for a fun family day out.

Tulleys Pumpkin
Pumpkin Patch & More!

Located in the West Sussex countryside, Tulleys Pumpkin Farm grows over 1 million pumpkins in different varieties. From carving pumpkins to cooking pumpkins, wrinkly ones to bumpy gourds, there is a pumpkin for everyone.

Tulleys Pumpkin Farm has numerous autumnal displays of pumpkins, of course, along with spooky Halloween-themed scarecrows, skeletons, witches, and more! The ‘main’ area is flanked by various food stalls and covered tents with a lovely central display. Live Roaming Characters such as Gourdy the Jester do their walkabouts around Tulleys Farm.

Take a wheelbarrow and head straight into the pumpkin patch where kids can roam around to find their picture pumpkin. There are lovely photo opportunities dotted all across the Tulleys Pumpkin Farm. I recommend wandering around to take  your Instagram-worthy photos to avoid pushing the wheelbarrow around the muddy fields.

Pumpkin Village & Observation Wheel

A short walk through a ‘spooky forest’ with a graveyard, Cinderella-like carriage, and skeleton-clad benches, you arrive at Pumpkin Village with a large display ‘Fall in Love’. Here there is the Pumpkin Bar, more food stalls, and several fire pits to roast giant marshmallows. There’s nothing like a wood fire on a chilly autumn day. A giant observation wheel takes you up 33 meters high overlooking the Sussex countryside. One of Lady Yeya’s school friend joined us for our outing and her Dad kindly took the girls for a ride.

Countdown to Halloween

It was truly a ‘spooktacular’ family day out to kick off the countdown to Halloween. Less than a week to go! Hope you are enjoying the autumnal season as much as we do. Even our home is fully decorated for fall with an awesome Halloween-themed Lego display. I am not exaggerating when I say that my family adores the autumn season.

Happy Halloween all!
