A “Pup-tastic” Paw Patrol 4th Birthday!
In a blink of an eye, our sweet child is four so let’s have a ‘pawsome’ Paw Patrol birthday party to celebrate new adventures, growth, and laughter.
Sweet Lady Yeya turns four today! Born in the wee hours, your name means “night” or “daughter of the night.” As a nod to your Chinese heritage, your middle name “Mei” means “beautiful” or “beauty.” In short, your name given to you on a beautiful night means “night beauty.” You are our light and joy. The best gift. Thank you for picking us to be your parents. Happy Birthday Sweet Child of Mine! Here’s to a brilliant year ahead!
I’m Fired Up: Be Here on the Double for a Pup-tastic Paw-ty
We celebrated Lady Yeya’s birthday weekend with a small Paw Patrol-themed paw-ty with her closest friends. It was a drop-off party at our home. What does that mean? It means exactly what you think: a drop-off party without the parents. Brave, I know. But, it was totally manageable. Why? Well, the birthday party was a screening of PAW Patrol: The Movie. Plus Lady Yeya only invited five friends, all who either attend her nursery or see regularly for playdates. And best of all, my mom friends enjoyed a couple hours of “kid-free” (or “minus-one-kid”) down time. A win-win for everyone!
Her little guests got cosy on the sofa, floor, or bean bags with popcorn, cheese crackers and a box of Cawston Press apple juice for a special viewing of PAW Patrol: The Movie. It was very sweet to see Lady Yeya having fun and laughing together with her little friends. And they were so well-behaved! Afterwards, it was time for light snacks of sandwiches and veggies before some free play time. The parents joined the birthday girl for some classic vanilla cake and sparkling rosé later in the day. It was a “pawsome” afternoon and “drop off” paw-ty success!
Thank you friends and parents for joining us to wish Lady Yeya a very happy, happy birthday.
First West End Musical
Continuing her birthday weekend, we took Lady Yeya to her very first West End musical. What the Ladybird Heard and Stickman were great introductions to children’s theatre, but West End production is the real deal. Lady Yeya is a big fan of Frozen, a beautiful story about the bond of sisterhood between Anna and Elsa. She knows all the lyrics to all the hit songs from Frozen. As such, it was no brainer to take her to see the new West End production of Frozen: The Musical.
We were initially hesitant to book tickets due to Lady Yeya’s, but a friend went in December with her four year daughter and said it is perfectly age appropriate. We were lucky to snag great seats in the Royal Circle on her actual birthday. Lady Yeya absolutely loved her first West End theatre experience. It was a joy to see her mesmerised by the beautiful singing and amazing set. This could be the beginning of a beautiful annual family tradition.
One word about Frozen – The Musical: WOW! More on that later, but today is about celebrating our one and only sweet daughter.
Happy Birthday! We love you to the moon and back.
Lots of Love, Mum and Dad xx
