Let the Weekend Begin at The Weeknd Concert
Let the summer holidays begin! Delighted to kick off the weekend at The Weeknd Concert at London Stadium.
Summer is in full swing in London with numerous concerts and music festivals held across the UK from Glastonbury to BST Hyde Park. This past weekend, we were lucky to snag last minute tickets to The Weeknd “After Hours til Dawn” Tour. It was perfect timing as Lady Yeya finished her first year of school and Mom & Dad needed a night out to celebrate the end of Reception.
Excited for the weekend, we dropped off Lady Yeya at her BFF for a sleepover (thank you C Family!) and made a beeline to London Stadium in Stratford. It was a perfect balmy evening for a stadium concert with a sold-out crowd of 80,000 fans waiting to see the “Starboy” hitmaker. The Weeknd burst into the R&B music scene about a decade ago when we were still (relatively) young, hip and childless. Fast forward ten years later, Kenz and I were probably the oldest people at the concert. The average age was between 22-25. Anyone else older than us were dutiful parents chaperoning their teenage kids to a concert.
After an electrifying set playing all his popular hits, The Weeknd did not disappoint. The concert was a lot of fun and the atmosphere was absolutely buzzing. Kenz and I came home as happy as a clam. Summer holidays, here we come!
