When Kenz booked tickets to Moulin Rouge! The Musical, I was expecting a jaw-dropping theatrical spectacle. But when he told me we’d got seats at the Can Can tables, I quickly realised we weren’t just going to watch the show — we’d be practically inside the action and part of the production.
The evening started with champagne and nibbles in the VIP area before we were ushered to our Can Can table. As soon as we stepped inside the theatre, with its deep red glow, sparkling chandeliers and cheeky performers weaving through the crowd, it felt as though we’d slipped through a secret side door into the nightlife of Paris.
Up Close and Personal: Dazzle and Sparkle
Sitting at the Can Can tables gives you a completely different perspective on the show. You’re close enough to see the shimmer of the costumes, the energy of the dancers and even the make-up on the main cast.
It’s intimate, electric and just a little bit naughty — exactly what a date night should be: fun, glamorous and thoroughly entertaining!
Moulin Rouge! The Musical follows the passionate love story of Christian, a young writer, and Satine, the dazzling star of the Moulin Rouge nightclub in Paris. Against a backdrop of ambition, sacrifice and forbidden love, their romance unfolds in true theatrical style.
Visually spectacular and bursting with energy, the production combines incredible set design, dazzling costumes and a hit-filled soundtrack to create an unforgettable theatre experience. The story has plenty of heart and emotion, but it’s the sheer scale, energy and excitement of the production that really steals the show.
