MCM Comic Con London 2026: a Marvel-ous Time
A favourite event on the calendar – October edition of MCM Comic Con London is always a marvellous time full of cosplay and superheroes!
It’s become something of an annual tradition for Kenz and Lady Yeya to head to the October edition of MCM Comic Con London. It’s one date in the calendar they always look forward to, and it is always the weekend before Halloween.
This year, Lady Yeya arrived with a newfound obsession: the Marvel universe.
Spider-Man and the X-Men are particular favourites at the moment. And with Avengers: Doomsday on her radar, she’s been busy playing Marvel catch-up, working her way through as many age-appropriate films as we’ll allow! Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers, Spider-Man and plenty more have all made the watchlist.
Comic Con is usually very much a father-and-kiddos day out, but this year Kenz’s usual partner in crime couldn’t make it because of work commitments. Naturally, I was more than happy to step in and take the spare ticket. What a sacrifice!
Lady Yeya, meanwhile, needed no excuse to dust off her beloved Ahsoka costume. Dressed and ready for action, she and her friend headed to Comic Con prepared for a day of cosplay, superheroes, comics and, a little bit of shopping.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Comic Con London
If you’ve never been to Comic Con before, prepare yourself: it is busy, colourful, slightly bonkers and a lot of fun. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by anime characters, superheroes, villains and every fandom imaginable. Everyone is dressed for the occasion, whether that means an elaborate head-to-toe cosplay creation or simply a favourite fandom T-shirt or hoodie. I even wore the signature black-and-red Akatsuki cloak from the anime and manga series Naruto for Comic Con.
And honestly, people-watching is half the fun.
Inside, there are hundreds of exhibitors selling everything from toys, collectibles and comic books to graphic novels, artwork and wonderfully random novelty gifts you never knew you needed until that very moment.
Beyond the shopping, there’s plenty happening throughout the day, including talks, autograph sessions, photo opportunities and meet-and-greets. For comic book, anime, gaming, sci-fi and superhero fans, it’s basically one enormous playground.

On a superhero hunt
Given Lady Yeya’s current Marvel obsession, one of the highlights was spotting and taking photos with some of her favourite characters.
Rogue? Photo.
Cyclops? Definitely.
Star-Lord and Gambit? Obviously.
Doctor Strange, Okoye and even Darth Vader also made it into the photo collection. Yes, we know Darth Vader isn’t Marvel, but when Darth Vader is standing in front of you, you take the picture!
The biggest excitement, however, came when she spotted Doctor Doom at the Avengers exhibition. There was quite a queue for the photo opportunity, filled with excited fans all eagerly awaiting for the movie release.

The all-important Comic Con purchases
After what felt like several miles of wandering around the North and South Halls, stopping for countless photos and resisting plenty of very tempting purchases, the girls finally had an important decision to make: what to spend their allowance on.
After much deliberation, Lady Yeya’s friend chose a Sylvanian Families set, while Lady Yeya stayed firmly on theme and came home with a set of graphic novels.
Pocket money successfully spent. Mission accomplished.
And with that, another MCM Comic Con was done.
Needless to say, the girls had an absolute blast, and so did we. There’s something wonderfully infectious about watching children spot a favourite superhero across a crowded hall and immediately light up with excitement.
Same time next year? I think that’s already a given. Watch out Comic Con 2027!
