Lion King-Themed Birthday: “Oh I Just Can’t Wait to Be Five!”

Hakuna Matata, it means no worries! It was a very special Lion King-themed birthday to celebrate our sweet daughter turning the Big Five!

Dearest Lady Yeya, 

You turned five this week! I can’t believe it – where does time go? It feels like yesterday we carried you home from the hospital. Fur-brother Buddy was so eager to meet his new little sister. And now, you’re a big girl with such a sweet personality and full of curiosity. 

You started Reception at “big girl” school In September for which we are so proud. You are settling in well, learning leaps and bounds, and having lots of fun with your new friends. According to your teachers, you are a confident child who contributes to class discussions and is happy to share ideas.  

You are a delightful mini traveller, for which we are thrilled about. We bask in joy watching you frolic in the crystalline waters of The Maldives or dipping your toes in the Mediterranean Sea, although you were not keen on the wild Atlantic Ocean in Madeira or Lanzarote. You are an adventurous eater, a little foodie in the making. Much to our delight, you adore sushi and sashimi, Udon, and anything and everything Asian. We look forward to our trip back to the Golden State of California and to the Greek Isles this summer. 

You inherited your late Grandma Chan’s “sleepy genes,” snoozing 12-hours straight at night, for which we are so grateful. Yes, sweet child of mine – sleep does a body good. You love Paw Patrol, Puppy Dog Pals, PJ Mask, and Spidey and his Amazing Friends. 

You are a happy child with a big heart and the sweetest smile. We are so proud! Thank you for bringing you so much joy. We love you to the moon and back. We hope you had fun at your Lion King-themed birthday weekend celebrating with your little friends and seeing the musical The Lion King. Wishing you a beautiful year ahead filled with laughter and big adventures.
