Happy Father’s Day 2021
Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads out there! I hope you had a lovely day with lots of love, laughter and fun.
We just returned from holiday on the Dorest Coast where we celebrated Father’s Day early. It was a lovely week with glorious sunshine, seafood galore, and good friends. A much-needed break from routine with no cooking or cleaning for a week. Indeed, it was a great getaway with beautiful views of Chesil Beach. I am always grateful to explore another beautiful corner of the U.K. and spend this special time with my family.
Father-Daughter Bond
To our superhero Dadda, Happy Father’s Day! Although Lady Yeya is a mama’s girl, she absolutely adores her Dadda. I can’t help but laugh at how much Lady Yeya is a mini version of her Dad, down to the mannerisms. Save for the curly brown hair from Grandma “Jones,” Lady Yeya inherited her Dad’s physical features: forehead, eyes, mouth, and chin. She has a habit of picking the skin off her upper lip just like her Dad when he was a little boy. And just like her Dad, she would complain that her ankles hurt during growth spurts. She is a buggy girl like her Dad. She hates walking barefoot on grass like her Dad. Like her Dad, she loves books, dinosaurs, animals, and Legos. Goodness, she even sleeps like Dad. My older sister had it right all along based on Lady Yeya’s 12 weeks sonogram. High forehead, nose, and chin – this child is going to look like her Dad. And she was right!
I love seeing the bond between father and daughter. It’s sweet and heartwarming. It’s true what they say: “the days are long; the years are short.” Remember to enjoy and cherish these joyful moments. I am grateful to share these little moments with my number one. Thank you for all the love and support. I couldn’t be more proud to be your partner in life.
Happy Father’s Day!
